Yay!
Last week I was really down. I was in a bad mood. I had just been rejected on multiple marketplaces and it stung.
Well, as luck would have it, just after I sent out my newsletter, my latest template got approved and got posted on the Framer marketplace.
It might seem like a trivial thing, but I’ve had 5 templates rejected by Framer so far, so it was a big thing when it finally happened.
Usually my templates are rejected right off the bat, so I was a bit surprised when the first feedback wasn’t a rejection but just a request for a few changes.
It took a bit of back and forth with the Framer team with changes but eventually the template got approved
It also got approved for the Craftwork.design marketplace but it hasn’t been published yet.
Seeing that it got approved on these marketplaces I figured I would try my luck submitting it to UI8.com. Everything I’ve ever submitted to UI8 has been rejected right off the bat, but I figured “why not” and to my surprise it got approved as well. I was very surprised.
So far no sales from UI8.com.
If you’re curious, I’ve made 8 sales so far from the Framer marketplace and the template has gotten 1600 unique visitors so far.
Needless to say, this has been very motivating, so I’ve started working on a few more templates. You can see one of them here:

It’s still a work in progress, but I hope to submit it some time next week.
It’s nice to see a side hustle that actually works and that I enjoy doing.
I’ve tried multiple different side hustles in the past two years and I’ve only lost time and/or money on all of them.
It’s been very demotivating to spend so much time on this only to get rejected every time. I was considering just going back to freelancing instead of chasing the latest side-hustle idea from social media.
I guess I now have to create more templates just to see how far I can take it.
